What Happens in a Session?
A session includes a consultation, diagnosis and treatment which will be specific to your condition and usually takes 60 minutes.
Tuina feels different to other types of massage therapy that you may have tried. This is because tuina uses powerful, invigorating techniques that are unique to the therapy and which take many years to perfect.
Tuina is not an oil-based massage and so is usually administered through loose clothing and a cotton sheet while. It is best to wear (or bring to change into) comfortable and loose fitting clothing for the treatment session. Ancillary techniques such as the application of herbal massage lotions and oils, cupping and moxibustion are also often applied.
