Sensational Springtime Skin!

Sensational Springtime Skin!

Not much compares to a thoroughly relaxing, professional facial to help promote healthy skin, reduce puffiness and improve the appearance of lines. A bit of pampering helps lift your mood and gives you a boost of confidence too.

But what can you do at home to keep your skin looking and feeling fresh between facials? Here's Taryn's top 5 natural beauty tips… and you can find most of the products in your kitchen cupboard at home!

Your beauty regime at home needn't be fussy or expensive; there are some great tricks and natural alternatives to traditional products - here are a few of my favourites:

1. Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Olive oil is the most natural, purest moisturiser in the world that can be used anywhere on the body including the face. Just use a small amount and massage in to the skin especially focusing on dry areas to stimulate and help improve cellular renewal. It's even recommended to use as an eye make up remover. It removes make up whilst moisturising the most tender area of the face prone to wrinkles. The aim is to keep the skin supple.

2. Honey

Honey is another product that you can find in the kitchen cupboard that has many benefits for the skin. Honey is great at retaining moisture in the skin, plumps up fine lines and gives your skin a beautiful glow. Apply 1-2 drops to wet fingers and massage in to a damp face and pat dry.

3. Egg Whites

Egg whites contain an enzyme that breaks down acne-causing bacteria so they are great for oily skin as it helps to reduce large pores. Egg whites have a tightening and toning effect on the skin so used as a mask can help the skin stay youthful.

4. Avocado

You can use avocado on it's own or add it to the egg whites to create a hydrating mask. This home made product contains many vitamins and healthy fats to rehydrate and leave skin soft and supple and the proteins in the egg whites will nourish and tighten your skin. The perfect combo!

5. Coconut Oil

Using coconut oil is the natural way to target anti-ageing. The proteins in coconut oil help keep skin healthy and rejuvenated internally and externally. Proteins also contribute to cellular renewal and repair. It can be used on lips when cracked, as a skin softener and as a massage medium. Massaging your skin before bedtime helps increase blood flow and helps vital nutrients to nourish the skin. A natural skin rejuvenator.
